Position: Associate Consultant Locataion: Chicagoland area EIS is seeking energetic and motivated individuals with the proper combination of analytical, technical, and communication skills. Candidates should process strong fundamental knowledge in at least three of the following areas and have a desire to round out their skills in the other areas: C/C++, Java, PowerBuilder, UNIX, NT, TCP/IP, Telnet, FTP, Windows Client Environment, SQL, structured methodologies, CASE tools, DFDs, and/or ERDs. Associates will work directly with clients on any one of several ongoing projects under the direct guidance of an EIS partner. Projects range in both technology as well as business focus but will all be within the area of Open Systems and emerging technologies. Associates are encouraged to participate in all aspects of the project life cycle. Tasks range from application programming in C/C++, various 4GLs, and GUI/Client Server environments to application design, requirements definition, and network and technical architecture. Technologies currently being deployed include Internet and TCP/IP networking strategies including ISDN and wide area connectivity, document imaging, socket level RPC development, high availability/high performance OLTP database application development, EDI data exchange, and real-time database replication.
