Building upon a very strong technical background, Mr. Mitchell has directed the majority of his attention and career at the specific challenges of the transportation industry. What began with a project that spanned more than 10 years for what is today the expedite truckload division of Federal Express, Mr. Mitchell has built upon that initial experience to include work and projects for LTL, brokerage, and warehouse operations as well. With this wealth of experience from both the business and technical side, Mr. Mitchell possesses a unique insight into how processes can be streamlined, improved or grown in volume through the innovative use of technology plus the ROI involved in doing so. Key to this experience has been involvement and leadership in projects that spanned the full development and deployment lifecycle and continued well into post-implementation. This provided an appreciation for what works and what doesn't and at what cost, which simply can't be gained by putting something in place and moving on. Not only valuable from a business/application perspective, this also made clear the technical approach necessary to design and develop systems with long life spans based on ease of maintenance plus their ability to easily adapt to new requirements.
