   FedEx Custom Critical Web Order Entry

FedEx Custom Critical is a division of Federal Express that specializes in emergency and time-sensitive shipping throughout North America. After working to deploy an elaborate application for managing the internal operations of the business, this project turned attention to the web.  The goal was to allow customers to enter their orders via their own browsers.  The application had to enable users to specify all manner of specific requirements, handle complex issues such as border crossings and hazardous material restrictions, and integrate seamlessly into their existing enterprise application.



 
Technologies deployed:   BEA Weblogic v6.0 & v6.1, 55 java servlets & JSPs, 4 EJBs, JNIC interfaces to 16 C routines, OpenIngres 2.0 RDBMS, Sun Enterprise Servers
Tasks performed:   Technical Architecture Definition, Requirement Definition, User Interface Design, Application Design, Software Development and Testing
