Managed projct to reengineer enterprise system for this premier not-for-profit trade show organization serving the housewares industry. The system is designed to perform several critical functions: Operating a world class trade show, Enrolling and managing company memberships, maintaining information for the special interest group Housewares Export Council of North America (HECNA) and tracking individual membership in a variety of committees offered to member companies.

A subset of the business requirements stated above were previously satisfied by a system based on Macintosh/FoxPro technology. We have reengineered and extended the capability of this system using a more widely accepted platforfm. The server operating environment is Window NT coupled with the realational database Microsoft SQL server 6.x. The client interface was developed using SyBase’s PowerBuilder 6.x and executes transactions to and from the server over a TCP\IP local area network.

Lead designer and developer of On-site Trade Show Registration System. This system is used at the point of sale to record attendance, print graphical credentials, track conference allotment and maintain financial information on a per registration basis. Responsibilities included requirements analysis, screen design, application development and testing, and report writing.

Provide in house SQL training to client staff and provided on-site support at client sites where product was deployed.

Designed application architecture and software for an automated faxing subsystem. This system interfaces with VSI*FAX, a UNIX based fax server product, and employs a custom server (daemon) process that logs fax transmit notification to remote databases indicating the success or failure of faxed confirmation letters. Additionally, integrated REFORM forms software to merge database information and aesthetically enhance a faxes appearance.

Performed preliminary analysis for company's batch processing/scheduling requirements for the advance portion of show registration.

Lead project to increase system performance employing EMPOWER remote terminal emulation software. Redesigned application modules to minimize SQLs and to cache data where possible.

Assumed project management role in developing a system to track historical and administrative claim information. Additionally assumed responsibility of performing analysis and design of a

scheduled reporting system. Work included the creation of both Process and Data Models as well as Structure Charts and Module P-specs using the Visible Analyst Workbench CASE product. Front end applications were developed using INGRES Windows/4GL running under Windows 3.0 on PCs. Data services were provided using INGRES DBMS servers running on a VAX host under VMS and using INGRES NET to provide the client/server communication.
